Dear Parents and Guardians:
We have already had a busy start to the school year. Progress reports went home on Monday and we are nearing the end of September. The teachers are working hard to help your students master their targets, and we appreciate your support. We have had excellent attendance in school so far and look forward to another great year.
The Homecoming Parade is on Friday and the students are looking forward to marching in the parade. The parade starts at 2:00 and students will be able to be picked up after the parade at their classroom’s after roll has been called. STUDENTS: DON’T FORGET TO DRESS IN BLACK AND GOLD OR IN YOUR CLASSROOM THEME.
You will be receiving availability letters to help us in scheduling Parent/Teacher Conferences in the next week. Please take the time to fill it out and return it to school as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing all of you at conferences.
The PTO fundraiser continues through October 3rd. This year we are raising money to continue to improve our playground area. If your child needs more forms, we have extra ones at the office. As an incentive, if we meet our goal of $5000 dollars, we will have a school wide PJ day and the three highest sellers will get to put a pie in Mrs. Meyer’s face on October 31st. I know we can reach our goal!
I am so pleased to see the excellent progress that our students have made in their reading goals so far this year. I would love to see 90% or higher of our students achieve their AR goal for the 1st quarter. If you are interested in more information, I have posted information on my website. From the main page of the Adrian site, just click on Elementary in the main bar and it will take you to the elementary site. It also contains a variety of other information and a school calendar that may help to keep you more informed.
Be sure to take a look at the traffic routing changes on the back of this letter. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office.
